Textured PEI pad Bambu Lab
Excellent first coat adhesion, improved durability
After optimizing the manufacturing process of Bambu Texture PEI Plate, the durability of the plate has been improved. In addition, the adhesion between the prints and the plate has been greatly improved, eliminating the need for adhesives.
*In some situations glue is needed for very specific threads
Self-release on cooling
PEI is an excellent material for 3D printing applications due to its ability to withstand the repeated heating and cooling cycles of the printer’s thermal substrate. Prints are easily separated when the heating bed temperature reaches room temperature, and we always recommend waiting until it reaches 35℃ or lower. If the print is still stuck to the plate, simply bend the steel plate and the pattern will fall right into your hands.
Compatibility with different threads
PEI allows printing not only on common materials such as PLA, TPU and PETG, but also on materials that require high temperatures, such as ABS and Nylon.
Prevent distortion with reliable magnetic adhesion
The Bambu Texture PEI Plate is fitted with a 0.5mm thick stainless steel plate that improves magnetic adhesion. This helps to prevent distortion and ensure optimal print quality during 3D printing, reducing the likelihood of the first layer separating due to warping. It also helps when printing larger models from materials that are prone to warping, such as ABS, PC and nylon.
Textured surface coating
The Bambu Texture PEI Plate offers a unique first layer surface. By applying a powder coating process, this PEI Build Plate creates a rough texture that adds texture to your prints.
Installation steps
Step 1: Align the plate with the fixed points on the platform, with the plate name facing you.
Step 2: Lower the plate and secure it to the magnetic platform
Considerations
- Automatic flow rate calibration on a textured PEI plate works in most cases(OTA version 01.06.01.00 or higher), but is not reliable compared to other plates.
- Regularly clean the surface with detergent and water to remove any dust or grease residue first. If this does not help, clean the surface with alcohol
- Do not clean textured PEI with acetone as it will damage the PEI surface.
- Always wait a few minutes before removing printed patterns to allow the plate to cool for easier removal of the print. This prevents damage to the plate and ensures long product life.
- The textured PEI plate is considered a consumable that degrades over time. The warranty only covers manufacturing defects and not cosmetic damage such as scratches, dents or cracks. Defective sheets on arrival are the only ones covered under warranty.
