PLA Premium- Chocolate brown – Spectrum
Aesthetic, biodegradable and reliable 3D printing
Spectrum PLA Premium is a polylactide-based filament that belongs to aliphatic polymers. It shows complete biodegradability. Carefully selected colour concentrates provide the articles manufactured from Spectrum PLA Premium with saturated colours in a wide spectrum. Furthermore, the choice of a suitable dye base for the filament extrusion granules ensures high-performance printing with extremely good adhesion of the prints on FDM/FFF 3D printers.
An undeniable advantage of PLA Premium-Chocolate Brown Spectrum is the very low shrinkage during processing. It is thus particularly useful for large-size 3D printers without a closed chamber. Spectrum PLA Premium gives excellent surface and part quality, producing reliable results.
Key Features:
- made from biodegradable raw materials
- good mechanical properties (high hardness and tensile strength)
- user-friendly
- high aesthetic surface quality
- good for creating high resolution parts
- high hardness of printed elements
- relatively low melting temperature
- lack of shrinkage after cooling
- wide range of colours available
- thermal distortion temperature – 55°C
Applications:
- household tools
- educational projects
- concept and demonstration prototypes of designed finished and semi-finished products
- industrial design
- interior design
- castings and moulds
The characteristics of Spectrum PLA Premium filament define its use as a learning material for those learning to use FDM/FFF additive manufacturing technologies. In addition, due to its extremely high aesthetic properties, the material is widely used in industrial design, in particular for concept and demonstration prototypes of designed finished and semi-finished products.
The material is also widely used to produce widgets and props for advertisements and films, as well as all kinds of toys, figurines, containers, handles and stands for interior design purposes.
Packaging:
The filament is wound on a transparent spool. Each spool contains information on the material type, diameter and recommended printing temperature. The filament is vacuum packed with a moisture absorber. All product is packaged in the original Spectrum Filaments packaging.
The most precise quality control system on the market
Filaments for 3D printers are produced by the free extrusion method, which is one of the most difficult extrusion processing techniques due to the particularly large influence of process parameters on product dimensions and material homogenization.
During production, every 1 mm of Spectrum filament is continuously measured along two axes with an accuracy of ±0.8 µm, allowing a high quality end product to be produced. As a testament to this, Spectrum Filaments has introduced, as one of the few manufacturers in the world, the ability to submit online, individually for each spool produced:
- the diameter stroke along the entire length of the reel,
- medium diameter
- ovality
- standard deviation.
Precise research ensures that Spectrum Filaments products meet the stringent requirements of the market.
