• Bed warming: not required (50-60°C recommended)

PLA is the most popular type of 3D filament, probably because it’s the easiest to print and doesn’t curl as easily, meaning it doesn’t need a heated substrate (although a heated substrate certainly contributes to a better result). Another advantage of using PLA is that it is considered an odorless filament and is more environmentally friendly than many other 3D printer filaments.

So far it sounds like the perfect 3D filament, but like any other plastic it has some drawbacks; PLA material is resistant to low temperatures and starts to lose its mechanical strength at temperatures above 60°C. It is also important to note that this filament is fragile, so avoid making 3D models that could bend, twist or fall repeatedly. Instead, use it to make 3D models such as ornaments, less wearable toys, prototype parts, and various decorations.

Although our PLA filament is made from food safe materials, we do not recommend drinking or eating repeatedly from your PLA 3D prints as bacteria can build up there over time. It is better to use PETG filament if the pattern will be in contact with food.

Our PLA filament is compatible with almost all 3D printers including Creality and MakerBot printers, Ultimaker, Artillery, Flashforge, Creatbot, Makergear, Bukobot, Type A Machines and many more.
