Bambu PLA Aero
Bambu PLA Aero achieves low density and low weight by foaming at high temperatures during printing and creating small openings inside the prints. It is the ideal choice for lightweight and energy-saving prints, including unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), aerodynamic models and gliders.
PLA blowing materials (PLA Aero) have high demands on material drying and parameter settings. Please carefully read the Instructions for Printing an Aircraft Model with Foamable PLA (PLA Aero) before starting the printing process.
Low density and low weight
Bambu PLA Aero has almost the same filament density as regular PLA, while the print density is only 50-80%.
* When printing models of the same volume, the weight of PLA Aero is about half that of PLA Basic.
Controlled model density
Achieve lower density prints by increasing the print temperature and reducing the flow rate.
* Average print density varies as parameters such as actual print temperature, flow ratio, print speed, pattern size, wall thickness, and fill density change.
Robust with high impact resistance
Compared to pre-foamed wood PLA, Bambu PLA Aero and its footprints are more rigid and resistant to impact, collisions and drops.
Matte finish for easy staining
Bambu PLA Aero provides an easy to paint matt surface texture with better painting results compared to PLA Basic.
