The FiberSilk filament is the result of the combined and continuous efforts of the Fiberlogy team. Their goal was to create a high quality product combining a unique appearance, high durability and ease of printing. Fiberlogy’s FiberSilk offers a unique elegance to the prints created with it. They are characterized by a silky metallic sheen that brings out every smallest detail of the 3D model with all its curves and curves. Its aesthetic value is further enhanced by the rich palette of colours available. Fiberlogy have offered a wide selection of vibrant colours so that every user can find something that suits them perfectly. The metallic coating makes it easier to hide the borders between layers, making the entire print more uniform and expressive.

In addition to the visual advantage over traditional PLA, FiberSilk is also more durable. Thanks to the high adhesion of the layers, it can take heavy loads without cracking, and then returns to its original shape. The filament is both easy and safe to print. For best effects from FiberSilk, we recommend setting a high airflow during printing and reducing the print speed.

How to print?
The following parameters are only suggested print settings for this material. To ensure the best print quality, it is necessary to select the appropriate settings for a specific printer and printing conditions.

• Nozzle temperature 210-230°C
• Bed temperature 50-70°C
• No closed chamber required
• Fan 75-100%
• Flow rate 90-100%
• Print speed 35-60 mm/s
• Surface glass, masking tape
• Retraction (direct) 2-3 mm
• Withdrawal (Bowden) 4-6 mm
• Withdrawal speed 20-45 mm/s
• Drying conditions 40°C / 4h

Remarks :

• There is visible swelling of the material coming out of the nozzle while loading the filament or printing with it. This is a completely natural effect due to the surface tension of the polymers that make up the filament.
• Due to the strong adhesion, damage to the bed surface (e.g. PEI) may occur. We recommend printing on tape.
