Description
Fiberon™ PPS-CF10 is a high performance polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) based filament reinforced with ~10% carbon fibers. It offers outstanding thermal and chemical resistance, high stiffness and excellent dimensional stability – suitable for demanding industrial applications.
Key Features
- Very high heat resistance (HDT > 250 °C after crystallisation/annelisation)
- Excellent chemical resistance to acids, bases, fuels and solvents
- Carbon fiber reinforcement (~10%) for higher stiffness and lower shrinkage
- Good dimensional stability and low tendency to distortion
- Fire resistance class UL94 V-0 (at typical thickness)
Recommended printing conditions
- Nozzle: 310-350 °C (must be wear resistant – hardened steel or ruby)
- Bed: 80-90 °C (with suitable adhesive)
- Camera: possible without closed camera; closed/warmed camera improves results at higher detail
- Speed: moderate; lower speed for maximum layer quality
- Drying: recommended before printing for permanent results
Post-processing (annelation)
- For optimum mechanical and thermal properties: anneal around 125 °C for ~16 h (approximate), follow your internal protocols
Compatibility and equipment requirements
- Printers with high-temperature chotde (up to ≥350 °C)
- Wear-resistant nozzle and drive gears (due to the abrasiveness of the CF filler)
