The extruder unit is equipped with double gears made of hardened steel that feed the filament into the hot end. The hardened steel gears provide greater extrusion force, prevent slippage and increase wear resistance. These gears allow the extrusion unit to process tough engineered filaments such as carbon fiber nylon and glass fiber nylon.
The extruder module is also equipped with a cutting mechanism for unloading or switching filaments, as well as an extruder motor that provides the necessary power for the extrusion process.
