Two textures (textured and smooth) in one plate

Enjoy the benefits of two different textures in one slab – one side with a textured PEI surface and the other with a smooth PEI surface. This plate features a 0.5mm stainless steel magnetic plate that improves magnetic adhesion and helps prevent warping and ensure optimal print quality during 3D printing.

PEI’s smooth surface contributes to improved Z-axis precision during the printing process, providing greater accuracy and consistency in the vertical dimension.

Smooth and matt surface finish

Using a specially selected PEI matte sheet can give a smooth and matte texture to the undersurface of the printed object, enhancing its overall appearance.

Excellent first coat adhesion and improved durability

PEI’s textured surface enhances durability and improves adhesion between prints and plate, eliminating the need for adhesives.

*In some situations, glue is needed for very specific filaments.

Self-release on cooling

PEI’s textured surface can withstand the repeated heating and cooling cycles of the printer’s heating panel. Parts are easily removed when the heating pad temperature reaches room temperature.

Considerations

• The deposition of dust and grease on the build plate reduces adhesion. It is recommended to regularly clean the surface with detergent and water to maintain the best adhesion.
• Raising the temperature of the heating plate improves adhesion. Users should adjust the heating plate temperature based on their specific requirements to achieve the most appropriate level of adhesion.
• Gently sanding the surface of Textured PEI with fine grit (600 grit is recommended) sandpaper can help restore adhesion.
• If bubbles appear at the bottom of the Smooth PEI sheet, heating it on the heating stand at a temperature no lower than 80 degrees for several hours may be helpful to remove the bubbles.
• Do not clean the Bambu Dual-Texture PEI plate with acetone as it will damage the PEI surface.
• Bambu Lab recommends that only official Bambu Lab adhesive is used on Bambu Lab build plates and cannot be held responsible for any damage caused to the plates as a result of using third party adhesive on the build plates.
• Always wait a few minutes before removing printed patterns to allow the plate to cool for easy removal of prints. This prevents damage to the plate and ensures long product life.
• The Bambu Dual-Texture PEI Plate is considered a consumable part that degrades over time. The warranty only covers manufacturing defects and not cosmetic damage such as scratches, dents or cracks. Defective sheets on arrival are the only ones covered under warranty.
