PP Filament – Natural – Spectrum
PP – Natural Spectrum is a new material based on a random unfilled polypropylene copolymer. It has good mechanical properties combined with outstanding chemical resistance and low density. This material does not require a heated chamber to be printed and shows improved bonding of the layers, thus reducing the anisotropy of the final part. For the pure material, a build plate of PP is recommended. The specific quality of PP-Natural is the low moisture absorption, up to 0.3%.
In addition, PP-Natural features high flexibility (ultimate elongation – 500 %) and high impact resistance plus reduced moment of inertia compared to metal parts. PP-Natural also has good chemical, temperature and electrical resistance.
PP-Natural enables to obtain relatively high resistance to thermal ageing, good tribological properties, including in dry friction conditions, such as in plain bearings. The very good mechanical properties of PP-Natural enable a wide range of diverse applications.
In order to achieve the very attractive properties of PP-Natural, as far as technical aspects are concerned, you must follow the basic rules for storing such materials (in a dry and dark place with humidity below 15%). To obtain the best possible parameters of the printed object, it is recommended to dry the material before handling.
Tip: It is recommended to print using a heated chamber. Use Magigoo PP for better adhesion.
