AMS First Stage Feeder – Bambu Lab
View
The first AMS feed stage is specifically designed to support AMS printing of multiple colors and materials.
Each AMS has 4 first stage feeders, each first stage feeder has its own motor and gears to actively push the filament forward or wind it back towards the spool.
The feed mechanism of the first stage has a filament detection sensor. When a thread is inserted, the first stage feeder automatically pulls the filament. When the filament needs to be wound back, the first stage feeder will drive the AMS drive sleeve to rotate the spool to wind the filament.
*To optimize product performance, Bambu Lab has upgraded the printed circuit board of the AMS master feeder. This upgrade will affect AMS’s that use the earliest main board. Please confirm the version of the main board of your AMS at Bambu Lab Wiki, before purchasing the first stage feeder or feeder funnel.
