PA12 White – white – Nylon – Fiberlogy
Nylon filaments – heat and chemical resistant
Nylon filaments (PA 12), thanks to their resistance to heat, alcohol and chemicals, are particularly useful for mechanical and technical applications. It is extremely durable, strong and resistant to abrasion. It is also easy to machine with tools designed for metalworking and easy to paint, making it even more versatile and functional. PA12 nylon also performs very well in temperatures below 0 degrees Celsius. Thanks to this, it can operate over a wide temperature range and retain its properties.
It is extremely flexible – extending by 50% before breaking. PA12 nylon has excellent resistance to chemicals including hydraulic fluids, oils, fuels, greases, salt water and solvents. This makes it an excellent material for 3D printing in automotive and industrial applications. However, PA12 is not resistant to concentrated alkalis and acids. This filament is a must-have for any engineering workshop equipped with a 3D printer. For even more demanding projects, we recommend using reinforced nylon filament. Fiberlogy’s product range includes PA12+CF15 (carbon filament) and PA12+GF15 (glass filament).
Due to the shrinkage of the material during printing, it is necessary to use a 3D printer with a closed and heated printing chamber. This allows you to maintain a constant temperature around the 3D printed item.
Properties
- High resistance to high temperatures and chemical compounds
- High flexibility
- Wear resistance
