Two surfaces in one plate

Enjoy the benefits of two different textures in one slab – one side is Textured PEI and the other is Smooth PEI.
This gives you the flexibility to choose between a better grip or a smoother finish on the parts as your needs dictate.

The plate features 0.5mm magnetic stainless steel, which improves magnetic grip, reduces the risk of warping and ensures optimal print quality.

Smooth PEI surface:

High precision on Z-axis

The smooth PEI surface contributes to better precision along the Z-axis during printing, providing higher accuracy and consistency in the vertical dimension.

Smooth and matt finish

The use of a specially selected matte PEI surface gives a smooth and matte texture to the bottom layer of the printed part, significantly improving its overall appearance.

Excellent first coat adhesion and increased durability

The textured PEI surface offers increased durability and greatly improved adhesion between the model and the plate, eliminating the need for additional adhesives in most cases.

*In some specific cases (with certain filaments) the use of adhesive may be necessary.

Self-separation after cooling

The textured PEI surface withstands repeated heating and cooling cycles.
Once the heated table reaches room temperature, the printed patterns are easily detached effortlessly.

Important

• The accumulation of dust and grease on the plate reduces adhesion. Regular cleaning with water and detergent is recommended.
• The higher temperature of the heating mass improves adhesion. Adjust the temperature according to the material used.
• Light sanding of the textured PEI surface with fine sandpaper (P600 recommended) can restore adhesion.
• If blisters appear on the Smooth PEI surface, heating the plate to a minimum of 80°C for a few hours can help remove them.
• Do not clean the Bambu Dual-Texture PEI Plate with acetone – this may damage the PEI surface.
• Bambu Lab recommends the use of original glue only. Bambu Lab is not responsible for damage caused by third party products.
• Wait a few minutes after printing for the plate to cool before removing the model – this prevents damage and extends its life.
• PEI plate is consumable and wears out over time. The warranty only covers factory defects and not cosmetic damage such as scratches, dents or cracks.

Installation instructions

Installation steps for the X1/P1/A1 series

Step 1: Align the plate with the fixing points on the platform, with the lettering on the plate facing you.

Step 2: Place the plate down and fix it to the magnetic base.

Steps to install A1 mini

Step 1: Align the plate with the fixing points on the platform, with the lettering on the plate facing you.

Step 2: Lower the plate and secure it to the magnetic platform.
