BMG extruder, upgrade for 3D printer
BMG extruder with 3:1 ratio.
Together with the CNC-machined gears, the extruder impresses with outstanding filament pushing power. It is suitable for use even with low-power motors (pancake motors), but if used with such motors it is recommended to additionally install a hit sync on the motor.
It doesn’t matter if it’s high-resolution prints, small nozzles or large patterns with big nozzles. The optimized gear ratio provides unprecedented boost and fast retraction.
BondTech Dual Drive
Dual drive technology ensures a continuous flow of material. The close spacing between the gears and the extruder outlet allows printing of soft materials (for direct drive application only).
Multi-Material
The BMG extruder can work with all materials while maintaining its reliability. From nylon and TPU/TPE filaments to very hard and brittle materials. The extruder is designed for 1.75 mm diameter filaments.
Adjustable voltage
The screw allows the user to fine tune the pressure exerted by the drive wheels on the filament. When changing the filament, it is often the case that the pressure on the filament affects the print quality. The solution to the problem is quick and convenient with the sufficiently large screw.
Quick release
The filament can be quickly replaced using the quick release lever.
Multi-application design
The BMG extruder can be used both in a Bowden setup and as a direct drive extruder. The design of the house allows for a quick and easy installation of a Hotend from the E3D family (e3D V6).
Recommended settings:
- E-Steps settings: 415 steps/mm (may vary from printer to printer), this is a guide value. For fine tuning, it is a good idea to do a calibration.
The extruder can use any Nema17 engine with a 5mm shaft. The BMG extruder is delivered without motor and without power adapter!
Weight without motor: 75g
