BASF Ultrafuse 316L

BASF Ultrafuse 316L

Description

Ultrafuse 316L combines greater design freedom with a low total cost of ownership. 3D-printed parts acquire their final properties, for example in terms of hardness and strength, through an unblocking and sintering process developed by BASF that has become an industry standard. As a filament, Ultrafuse 316 L is 80% stainless steel and has a 20% polymer content, allowing it to be easily printed on many open desktop FFF printers.

Highlights:

  • Easy and affordable metal 3D printing
  • Fast material exchange and easy processing
  • For all open source FFF printers
  • Manufactures 316L stainless steel metal parts
  • Uniform particle distribution improves mechanical properties
  • High filament flexibility allows successful printing in all FFF printers
  • Compatible with Bowden and direct drive extruders

Ultrafuse 316L

Designed for maximum ease of use with conventional 3D printers for the production of fused filament products. Ultrafuse 316L is an innovative filament for manufacturing 316L grade steel parts. As a filament, Ultrafuse 316 L is 80% stainless steel content and 20% polymer content, allowing for easy printing on many open desktop FFF printers.

Examples of applications using Ultrafuse 316L:

  • Tooling
  • Fixtures and fittings
  • Serial production
  • Functional parts and prototypes
