Sealing the spools with filaments in a vacuum bag is a great way to protect them. The bags prevent dirt, dust and especially moisture from reaching your filament. Keeping your filament sealed and dry is the best way to protect it and preserve its properties. This is especially true for hygroscopic filaments such as nylon (PA) and PVA.

Properly storing your filaments in a sealed and dry condition will help extend their shelf life and ensure that the quality of your parts will always be the best possible.

Easy to use:

The storage kit is very easy to use. Place your spool of filament in the vacuum bag, add a silica gel bag and a humidity indicator and seal the bag. The valve is self-closing for ease of use.

Make sure you position the humidity indicator so that you can monitor it. As long as the indicator dots remain brown, your fiber is safe and dry. If the indicator starts to turn blue, there may be moisture in the bag and you need to repack the spool with a new silica gel bag.

Vacuum bags are resealable and reusable.

Each kit contains:

• 1x Vacuum pump
• 10x vacuum bags – 350 x 310 mm (suitable for most 1 kg spools)
• 10x humidity indicators
• 10x silica gel bags.

Additional vacuum bags, humidity indicators and silica gel bags can be purchased separately.
