Extruder Switch Cam – H2 Series – Bambu Lab
Overview
The extruder switching system works by a switching motor
and a transmission mechanism, which drive the extruder switching cam.
This action causes the left and right
(driven tie rods) to deflect.
A tension spring attached to the driven bar ensures that one
of the driven wheels is tightly pressed against the drive wheel,
allowing the extrusion of the filament as the drive wheel rotates.
At the same time, the opposite driven wheel remains disengaged,
preventing unwanted movement of the filament.
By reversing the direction of rotation of the drive wheel,
the extruder motor can selectively activate one or the other
drive wheel, providing seamless dual extrusion
with a single drive wheel.
