The innovative 4-channel internal nozzle of this hotend significantly improves the heat transfer in the filament
and allows an increase in volumetric flow rate of over 60%.
This means more reliable and uniform extrusion at the same speeds
or the ability to raise the volumetric flow limit in the slicer,
to use the full potential of the machine’s kinematics.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will this product reduce printing time?

The reduction in print time depends on many factors,
including the specific model you are printing.
In most cases, when using our pre-prepared
slicer profiles, you will notice shorter print times.
However, if you are printing very small and detailed models with minimal or no infill,
you may not see a dramatic reduction in time,
as the priority is to maintain high visual quality
of the outer contours.

Will the nozzle wear out over time?

Yes, with long enough use the nozzle may show signs of wear,
but this will happen significantly slower than a standard
hardened steel nozzle.
The expected life of the product is difficult to determine accurately,
as it depends on many variables – base polymer,
additives, filament brand, temperature and print speed.

Does this void my printer warranty?

No. Bambu Lab have worked with E3D on the development of
and have officially approved the use of this product.

Can I still print with standard filaments like PLA?

Of course! Even when using standard print profiles
you will notice a more consistent and uniform visual quality,
thanks to the improved thermal performance and increased flow
of the high flow variants. This results in stronger and better looking details.

What is the use of this product if my printer does not reach 500°C?

You are always limited by the maximum print temperature of the
machine itself (for H2D / H2C / H2S printers it is 350°C).
However, even when printing at lower temperatures,
you will benefit from all the other advantages of the product –
extremely high abrasion resistance that significantly extends nozzle life,
as well as a non-stick coating that facilitates cleaning
and reduces plastic build-up and print defects.
