Textured PEI Plate for A1 mini – Textured PEI Plate – A1 mini – Bambu Lab
Excellent first coat adhesion and improved durability.
After optimizing the manufacturing process of Bambu Texture PEI Plate, the durability of the plate has been improved. In addition, the adhesion between the prints and the plate has been greatly improved, eliminating the need for adhesives.
*In some situations, glue is needed for very specific filaments.
Self-release on cooling:
PEI is an excellent material for 3D printing applications due to its ability to withstand the repeated heating and cooling cycles of the printer’s heated substrate. Parts separate easily when the heating bed temperature reaches room temperature, and we always recommend waiting until it reaches 35℃ or lower. If the part is still stuck to the plate, simply bend the steel plate and the pattern will fall right into your hands.
Compatible with various filaments:
PEI allows printing not only with common materials such as PLA, TPU, PETG, but also with materials that require high temperatures, such as ABS and Nylon.
Reliable magnetic adhesion to prevent distortion:
The Bambu Texture PEI Plate is fitted with a 0.5mm thick stainless steel plate that improves magnetic adhesion. This helps to prevent distortion and ensure optimal print quality during 3D printing, reducing the likelihood of the first layer separating due to warping. It also helps when printing larger models with materials that are prone to warping, such as ABS, PC and nylon.
Textured surface finish:
The Bambu Texture PEI Plate offers a one-of-a-kind first layer surface. By applying a powder coating process, this PEI build plate creates a rough texture that adds texture to your details.
Considerations
- Increasing the temperature of the heating layer improves adhesion.
- Users should adjust the heater temperature according to their specific requirements to achieve the most appropriate level of adhesion.
- Before automatic leveling, it is necessary to repeatedly rub the nozzle in the special wiping area of the build plate to completely remove any residual material in the nozzle tip. The coating in the specially designed wiping area will gradually wear off over time. This is normal and does not affect print quality or nozzle life, so there is no need to worry about quality issues.
- The deposition of dust and grease on the build plate reduces adhesion. It is recommended to clean the surface regularly with detergent and water to maintain the best adhesion.
- Bambu Lab recommends that only official Bambu Lab adhesive is used on Bambu Lab build plates and cannot be held responsible for any damage caused to the plates as a result of using third party adhesive on the build plates.
- Do not clean textured PEI with acetone as it will damage the PEI surface.
Always wait a few minutes before removing printed patterns to allow the plate to cool for easier removal of parts. This prevents damage to the plate and ensures long product life. - Gently sanding the surface with fine grit (600 grit is recommended) sandpaper can help restore adhesion.
- The latest firmware brings significant improvements to the calibration of the Bambu Textured PEI Plate using Micro Lidar and is now fully compatible with the automatic calibration process.
- The Textured PEI plate is considered a consumable part that degrades over time. The warranty only covers manufacturing defects and not cosmetic damage such as scratches, dents or cracks. Defective sheets on arrival are the only ones covered under warranty.
