The TMC2208 is an advanced and powerful stepper driver. It is mainly used in 3D printers with continuous drive current 1.2 A, peak current 2 A, voltage range 4.75 – 36 V. The TMC2208 stepper driver supports 256 microsteps (very smooth stepper motor movement) and also supports stealthChop operation mode. Enabling StealthChop completely mutes the stepper motors, reducing noise.
