PolyLite™ Luminous PLA is a special-effect PLA material designed for printing fun and colorful glow-in-the-dark 3D prints that look great both day and night. Unlike standard glow-in-the-dark PLA filaments, which are distinguished by color only when lit, Luminous PLA combines colored PLA in daylight conditions with powders that glow in the dark after absorbing light energy. PolyLite™ Luminous PLA is ideal for printing eye-catching patterns, whether day or night.
*The glow-in-the-dark filaments are highly abrasive, so we recommend using an abrasion-resistant nozzle when printing.
Features
- Day and Night – PolyLite™ Luminous PLA is a color range that also contains powders that glow in the dark after absorbing light energy. This luminous filament is an excellent choice for eye-catching patterns that offer color in both day and night light. To achieve the glow in the dark effect, simply print your design and expose it to sunlight or UV light for about 30 minutes to get the best glow in the dark effect; ideal for printing glow sticks, figurines, party decorations, Halloween decorations, Christmas ornaments or gifts for children.
- Jam-Free™ Technology – Polymaker have incorporated their Jam-Free™ technology into PolyLite™ Luminous PLA to improve the thermal stability of the filament with softening temperatures in excess of 100°C, resulting in excellent print quality with zero risk of nozzle clogging caused by thermal creep.
- Compatibility – PolyLite™ Luminous PLA is compatible with a wide range of 3D printers and works well with common printing surfaces without the need for bed heating. A heated bed of 40 to 60°C may provide better results (maximum 60°C).
- Uncompromising Quality – PolyLite™ Luminous PLA Filament is made with the highest quality ingredients, including Ingeo® from Natureworks. Natureworks is a leading US-based global supplier of biopolymers with a portfolio of high-quality PLA feedstocks made from rapidly renewable plant resources. Combining Polymakers’ innovative R&D technologies, blending and extrusion systems with Natureworks’ Ingeo® resins yields a reliable 3D printing filament that prints beautiful and accurate models.
