PETG Premium – Navy Blue Spectrum
Spectrum PET-G Premium is the second most popular material for 3D printing. The main advantages of PETG Premium – Navy Blue are its near-zero shrinkage and low moisture absorption compared to other thermoplastics used for FDM/FFF 3D printing.
Products manufactured with PET-G retain stable properties over their long lifetime. PETG Premium – Navy Blue combines the advantages of PLA and ABS. It also provides virtually seamless printing and outstanding layer adhesion.
As for the other properties of PETG Premium – Navy Blue, the good resistance to deformation under constant load conditions should be noted. It is due to the very good adhesion between the layers of the applied material.
This results in much lower mechanical anisotropy in the printed products, meaning that for each production run, the mechanical properties vary less than with other thermoplastic materials designed for 3D printing.
Key Features PETG Premium – Navy Blue Spectrum:
- high transparency compared to other additive manufacturing materials
- very good mechanical properties in terms of hardness, strength and impact resistance
- temperature resistance HDT – 69°C
- Vicat softening point – 78°C
- chemical resistance
- high dimensional accuracy
- combines the advantages of PLA and ABS
- exceptional adhesion between layers
- odourless seal
PETG Premium Applications – Navy Blue Spectrum :
- visual and functional prototyping
- suitability testing
- conceptual models
- production aids
- production of translucent housings and backlit parts for various boards and signs
The very good mechanical properties of PETG Premium – Navy Blue, combined with its chemical resistance, determine the application of this material for the production of products with relatively high dimensional accuracy and stability of shapes and mechanical properties.
Accordingly, these are primarily gears and plain bearings subjected to relatively high static loads in a water environment. PET-G is also used to produce translucent housings and backlit parts for various boards and signs
Packaging
The filament is wound on a transparent spool. Each spool contains information on the material type, diameter and recommended printing temperature. The filament is vacuum packed with a moisture absorber. All product is packaged in the original Spectrum Filaments packaging.
The most precise quality control system on the market
Filaments for 3D printers are produced by the free extrusion method, which is one of the most difficult extrusion processing techniques due to the particularly large influence of process parameters on product dimensions and material homogenization.
During production, every 1 mm of Spectrum filament is continuously measured along two axes with an accuracy of ±0.8 µm, allowing a high quality end product to be produced. As a testament to this, Spectrum Filaments has introduced, as one of the few manufacturers in the world, the ability to submit online, individually for each spool produced:
- the diameter stroke along the entire length of the reel,
- medium diameter
- ovality
- standard deviation.
Precise research ensures that Spectrum Filaments products meet the stringent requirements of the market.
