Safety instructions

• Please pay attention to safety when working with electricity! Do not use this product near a bathtub, hand wash basin, bathroom or other place with water, otherwise it may cause death due to electric shock! Please disconnect the power supply from the mains promptly after use.
• This pen tip can cause burns after heating, please do not touch the pen tip or any part near it.
• This product is suitable for children and adults over the age of five. Children should use this product under adult supervision.
• This product is not waterproof or shatterproof. It is forbidden to use the tip of the pen to stick to hard objects. It is also forbidden to insert other objects into the charging port or into the pen tip.
• Consumable filament for this product: SL 300 PLA and ABS; filament diameter 1,75 ± 0,02 mm. Please use original thread. Choosing non-original thread may cause product damage.
• When using this product for the first time, it is normal for some smoke to come out of the nozzle, which will not affect the use of the product.
• Once you have finished using this product, please ensure that you have unloaded the filament and disconnected the power supply.
• All products will go through qualified testing before delivery, so it is normal to have a few threads left in the nozzle. Please feel free to use.
• To ensure continued use, it is recommended that after one hour of continuous use, the power be disconnected to stop for ten minutes, then used again.

Operating Instructions

Power on

Use the pen’s data cable to connect it to an optional DC 5V 2A power supply or power adapter. When a message appears on the screen, it means that the power is on.

Selection of filament/heating

1. Click the “Filament Option” key to select PLA or ABS according to the filament you will use.
2. Click the “Load” key, the red light comes on, this means the device is in the process of preheating. (The preheating time is about 70-100 sec.). The preheat temperature will be displayed on the LCD screen. When the red light turns green, it means that the preheating is finished.

Loading the thread

1. When the indicator light turns from red to green, it means that the preheating is complete. You can now select one of the two ways below to enter the filament:
   • A: Click the “Load” key.
   • B: Double-click the “Load” key and press it permanently. When the motor starts running, feed your filament into the “Filament Charging Port”. Once the filament has been extruded from the nozzle, you can begin painting.
2. (Press the “Load” key, the motor will unload the filament in about 2 min. If there is no click when the pen is running, it will enter sleep mode automatically every 8 min. If you want to continue using, just click the “Load” key.)

Operating speed/temperature control

1. To adjust the speed, first press the “Pause” key to stop extrusion. Then click the “Speed +/-” key to select your preferred speed. You can adjust the speed from 1 to 8 degrees. Grade 1 is the slowest and grade 8 is the fastest. Finally, click the “Load” key to extrude filament again.
2. To adjust the temperature, first click the “pause” key to stop extrusion. Then click the “Temperature Adjust +/-” key to select the appropriate operating temperature. Finally, click the “load” key to extrude the filament again. (Note: The melting temperature of the same filament will be different since there is a difference in its color. Please adjust the temperature depending on the situation.)

Unloading/replacing the thread

1. When the indicator turns green, press the “Unload” key for 3 seconds. When the motor starts running, release the key, the thread will be unloaded automatically. When the filament stops receding, remove the filament carefully from the “Filament Loading Port”. Press the “Pause” key to stop the motor.
2. Note: the engine will stop automatically and will be in a resting state after a prolonged unloading for 50 sec. If you wish to change the filament, please see SPECIAL NOTICE below.

Drawing for finishing

When you are finished painting, please unload the thread and turn off the power.

Troubleshooting

Please follow the instructions below if any failure occurs. If you are still unable to resolve the issue, please contact the distributor from whom you purchased the 3D pen.

Temperature control instructions

1. When using PLA or ABS, if the filament “cracks”, it means the temperature is too high, please try to reduce the temperature by 8-15°C using the “Temp adjustment -” key.
2. When using PLA or ABS, if there are too many bubbles, it means the temperature is too high, please try to reduce the temperature by 3-8°C using the “Temp adjustment -” key.
3. When using PLA or ABS, if the extruded material has a dull color, it means that the temperature is too low, please try to increase the temperature by 5-10°C using the “Temp Adjustment +” key.
4. When using PLA material, if the extruded material is liquid to drip, it means the temperature is too high, please try to reduce the temperature by 10-15° by using the “Temp adjustment -” key.
5. Normal extruded material should be smooth, soft, bubble free (small bubbles are OK).

• Use of the product for purposes other than those for which it is intended or failure to follow the instructions for maintenance, operation and servicing of the product.
• Damage to the product caused by a natural disaster, interference of an unauthorized person or mechanical fault of the buyer (e.g. during transportation, cleaning with improper means, etc.).
• Natural wear and aging of consumables or components during use (e.g. batteries, etc.).
• Exposure to adverse external influences, such as sunlight and other radiation or electromagnetic fields, penetration of liquids, penetration of objects, overvoltage in the network, electrostatic discharge voltage (including lightning), defective power supply or input voltage and improper polarity of this voltage, chemical processes, such as used power supply devices, etc.
• If anyone has made modifications, alterations, design changes or adaptations to change or expand the product’s features from the purchased design or use non-original components.
